Barn4 members PES Technology had a busy June, exhibiting their handheld soil health measurement system at both Cereals and Groundswell.
The system provides a measurement in the field in five minutes. There was a significant level of interest from the regenerative farming community and those interested in measuring and validating changes in the health of their soils. The soil health measurement system uses a unique patent-pending sensor that detects and reacts to the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) coming off the soil to determine the health of the soil. The sample is collected from approximately 15cm down.
PES Technology is preparing for Autumn Field trials and aiming for a full product launch in early 2024.
