Getting our appetite back for in-person socials

Thank you for joining us at Barn4's July social.

It is excellent to have in-person social events back on the agenda! This month’s Barn4 social was hosted in NIAB's spectacular Sophi Taylor Building, less than 50 metres from Barn4. Our attendees included Barn4 members, investors from Cambridge Capital Group, representatives from Innovate UK EDGE, scientists from Cambridge University, guests from the wider agritech startup community and business support professionals.

Sam Clayton, a specialist agritech recruiter from AgRecruit, kindly sponsored the event and said it was "a great event, and I’m already looking forward to the next one – and I’d definitely recommend it to anybody interested in generating further knowledge and contacts in the AgriTech space".

The networking event included an informative talk from Zane van Romunde Associate Director of, eg technology, who are product, engineering and development specialists based in Cambridge. Zane followed up his presentation with a handful of 1-2-1 surgeries. Barn4 member Michael Ruggier from Airponix commented that their "board were impressed with the facilities at NIAB and enjoyed the, eg technology presentation and 1-2-1 meeting[s]". Zane told the Barn4 team, “It was a pleasure to speak, and I’m glad that the Barn4 members found it insightful and informative. It was great to introduce what we do at, eg technology and why defining user and product requirements are so key to developing a successful product, including in the agritech market.”. If you are interested in follow-up with Zane post-event, drop eg technology, an email.

Keep an eye on Barn4 social channels to discover what will happen for the next in-person social!
