Barn4 latest premium member

Here at Barn4, we are excited to announce our latest premium member, Seeded Marketing.

Founder and Lead consultant Will Charlton started Seeded in February 2023, after going part-time from his role as the arable marketing manager for Limagrain. Growing faster than expected, Will quickly picked up enough clients to enable him to leave Limagrain and go full-time with his new venture, Seeded Marketing, much sooner than first hoped.

His current client base comprises a diverse range of businesses in the agricultural industry, primarily in the arable and machinery sectors. Seeded currently supports several crop protection manufacturers, a large distributor and agronomic service provider, a machinery manufacturer and a business in the agricultural service sector.

Will’s inspiration for starting Seeded was primarily out of frustration at the lack of industry-specific and technical understanding from more generic marketing agencies used in this space. From working in a number of companies in the agricultural industry, he quickly realised that his expertise in pulling together substantial marketing campaigns in a client-side role could bring value to his clients that even specialist agricultural and rural agencies could not match.

Currently, the Seeded team is just Will. His background is rooted in the agricultural industry, growing up on a family farm in Norfolk; he then studied Biochemistry at the University of Sheffield. After completing his studies, he started at British Sugar in a field role, then moved into a marketing role at Bayer, where he managed their combinable fungicide portfolio. Will is focused on growing Seeded’s portfolio to allow him to start building a team that shares the same passion for agriculture that he does. However, in the meantime, he can draw from a pool of highly talented freelancers, all of whom he has worked first-hand with, to ensure he can deliver for his clients during busy periods.

Due to the increasing demand for his services, Will quickly realised that he required additional space to work and meet clients. He believed that Barn4 was the perfect fit as a base for Seeded, it is well located for access to the industry on the outskirts of Cambridge, making it easily accessible for clients in the local area and those coming from further afield. Additionally, Will believes that the association with NIAB and their outstanding industry reputation benefits his business. Finally, Will is passionate about new technologies and sees them as a focus for Seeded, so the vibrant Agritech community at Barn4 is perfect for his business. He hopes that his expertise can also benefit other Barn4 members as they grow their business in the agricultural industry.

So on behalf of the Barn4 team, we want to say a big warm welcome to Will and Seeded Marketing, and if you want to learn more about Seeded marking, click the link below to visit their website.
